Mainstream Student Programs
Mainstream Student ProgramsBuilding focus, aesthetic literacy and hands-on skills, while bringing sustainability (such as apple leather) and inclusion into the classroom.
We design sustainable leather courses pitched to different student levels and school needs. Beyond basic techniques, we place equal emphasis on educational meaning, weaving traditional craft together with visual arts, values education and social awareness. Through interaction with assistant instructors who have disabilities, students come to see the diversity of life.
Tell us your school, student numbers and preferred dates via Google Form, WhatsApp or email.
Course length and themes can be flexibly fine-tuned to suit subject-department needs and student levels.
We bring all the leather materials and tools to your campus. The school only needs to provide a venue (a classroom or hall).
Students finish their pieces in class and take them home, growing reflections on "seeing" and "self-healing" with every stitch.
Experiencing the finesse of leather craft, students build focus and patience one stitch at a time.
Working alongside instructors with disabilities, students learn to recognise diverse talents and develop a perspective of equality and respect.
Through the work of their fingertips, students experience the power of "self-healing," easing academic stress and finding quiet time with themselves.
Scope of on-campus workshop collaboration
Our team brings rich experience teaching in schools and is committed to meeting the full range of school development and training needs:
Building focus, aesthetic literacy and hands-on skills, while bringing sustainability (such as apple leather) and inclusion into the classroom.
Drawing on our sheltered-workshop experience in breaking tasks into steps, we tailor therapeutic, structured craft courses for vocational exploration, designed for students with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities, ASD, ADHD and more.
A de-stress handcraft workshop designed for school staff teams, slowing the teaching pace and building team cohesion.
Ideal for PTA events, school open days and the like; parents and children complete handcrafted leather goods together, deepening parent-child communication.
Flexible duration · Suited to OLE / life education
All course lengths and content can be flexibly adjusted — student numbers, leather projects and class pace can be discussed around your school timetable. Enquiries for a quote are welcome.
Below are some of the schools and themes we have collaborated with. Feel free to ask for details on any individual project.
Working with the university's special educational needs support team, we ran an inclusive leather workshop where our artisans with disabilities were invited to share their life stories and moments from working with our team.
In partnership with Rolling Books, we ran an "Eco Leather Bookmark Workshop" — promoting a reading culture on campus, introducing beginner-friendly craft books and offering a simple workshop for special-school students, connecting the reading experience through a leather bookmark.
"Understanding Mental Health — Inclusive Eco Leather Workshop" — using craft as a medium to talk with students about mental health and emotional self-healing.
A half-day hand-stitched leather workshop for the staff team — from punching holes and hand-stitching to edge burnishing — experiencing inclusive craft together and creating a team-building, collective making opportunity for school staff.
All of the workshop details above can be flexibly adjusted and discussed individually to suit your school's goals, specific themes or budget. Click "Contact Us" below or fill in the "Collaboration Enquiry Form," and we will be glad to plan a tailored inclusive craft program for your school.
