Leather, workshops, corporate collaborations, shipping and care — we have gathered the questions we get asked most. Cannot find it? Real contact details are at the foot of the page.
Very durable. Apple leather is made from apple pomace + water-based PU, with a dense fibre structure, giving tear and abrasion resistance close to genuine leather. In daily use, simply avoid prolonged exposure to direct sun and scratching against sharp objects.
Every piece comes with a care card and a sample of apple leather care wax. Apply it every 3 months to keep the sheen for over 5 years.
Brief contact with water is fine. After rain or splashes, use a tissue to blot the water away (do not rub), then let it air-dry in a cool, ventilated spot.
Apply apple leather care wax every three months (a sample comes with each bag) to maintain the sheen and reduce water marks.
No. Apple pomace is a natural fibre, so each hide has subtle differences in texture, shade and grain — which is exactly what gives each piece its soul.
Each piece is handmade, so what you receive is the one and only one of its kind in the world.
We recommend reaching out 4–6 weeks ahead to secure a slot, especially around holidays or for large corporate events. The minimum varies by programme, starting from 8 people; you can also join a shared public workshop.
Overseas or long-term in-school collaborations are discussed separately.
Absolutely. All our public workshops are beginner-friendly, with instructors demonstrating step by step. The omamori workshop and apple leather charm are especially suited to first-timers; the leather wallet takes about 2 hours of focused work to finish with French saddle stitch.
Corporate gifts have a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 30–100 pieces depending on the product type. We offer gold foil stamping, laser engraving, custom colour combinations and more.
You are welcome to contact us via the Work With Us form to request a quote and samples.
Yes. For B2B partners we provide a complete event summary, photo documentation, SROI calculation and social impact data that can go straight into your corporate ESG / CSR report.
We have different programmes for primary, secondary and university levels — from one-off interest activities to a full STEAM + ESG curriculum. See the School page for details.
We do not accept returns or exchanges — unless the wrong item was sent or there is a workmanship fault. Every piece is hand-stitched by an artisan within their physical ability, so we ask that you choose carefully and read the sizes and colours before buying.
If the piece you receive is the wrong item or defective, please contact us within 7 days to resolve it.
We are a Hong Kong social enterprise. Founder Yoma Ma launched the personal leather brand Broken Fingers in 2014, and in 2023 added the "+" to turn it into a social enterprise. We work with the Christian Family Service Centre sheltered workshop to provide long-term leather-craft work for artisans with disabilities.
Yes, by appointment. The sheltered workshop is open for booked visits on Thursday afternoons (1 hour, up to 8 people). See the Sheltered Workshop page for details and booking.
