Broken Fingers+ is not buy-now-ship-now fast fashion. Every piece is hand-stitched, stitch by stitch, by the artisans of our local sheltered workshop, made in small batches, so we generally do not hold large amounts of stock waiting to ship. Only after you place your order do our artisans begin making your piece. Thank you for being willing to wait for this handcraft.
Standard dispatch timeline:
Custom / engraved items: if you choose engraving, custom sizing, or corporate gifts, production takes 20-30 working days (plus shipping time). These pieces are made to order from scratch just for you; they take time and cannot be rushed, but they are absolutely worth the wait.
Every order is hand-checked piece by piece, packed in an eco-friendly paper bag, and sent with a thank-you card. These details are a small token of our care for you and for our artisans.
If you have a deadline (for example a gift, birthday, or holiday), please note your desired arrival date in the order notes at checkout, or email info@brokenfingers-plus.com, and we will do our best to help arrange it.
Below are the estimated total times from the moment you place your order to the product arriving in your hands (including production, prep, and shipping). Actual arrival times are affected by workshop progress, public holidays, courier delivery, and local customs clearance, so the figures below are for reference only.
Some remote areas (such as outlying islands, rural districts, or countries with slower customs clearance) may take a little longer; thank you for your understanding. Custom / engraved items require an additional 20-30 working days of production on top of the times above. For Hong Kong local orders, we offer two convenient and affordable options at a flat shipping rate:
Free shipping automatically over HKD 800 — for Hong Kong local orders of HKD 800 or more (the amount actually paid after discounts), the system deducts the shipping fee automatically at checkout, with no code needed. This free-shipping offer is for Hong Kong local orders only and does not currently apply to overseas orders.
Local delivery time: 1-3 working days after production (that is, about 4-8 working days after you place your order). Once shipped, we email you a tracking number so you can check real-time progress on the courier website at any time.
Want flexible collection? SF pickup is ideal. At checkout you can choose a convenient SF Store or smart locker (SF Locker); once your parcel arrives we will notify you, and you can collect it at a time that suits you, without having to fit a delivery window or worry about being away from home.
SF pickup points usually come in two types:
Pickup costs the same as door-to-door delivery, both HKD 30, and free shipping over HKD 800 applies equally. If you cannot find a suitable pickup point at checkout, or wish to change your delivery method, please email info@brokenfingers-plus.com as soon as possible after ordering; while the item has not yet shipped, we can make the change for you.
International orders ship via Hongkong Post e-Express+, fully trackable, so every step from Hong Kong to your hands can be checked. Shipping is calculated automatically at checkout based on the total weight of your entire order, so there is no need to estimate it yourself.

International shipping is calculated by the total weight of your entire order, so understanding how weight is counted helps you budget.
For example: ordering two bags (about 1.4kg) plus one small leather good (about 300g) gives a total of about 1.7kg, still within 2kg, so it can ship as one parcel; adding more pieces that push it over 2kg requires separate shipments (see Section 11). The weights above include the product itself plus packaging and are averages, so actual weighed values may vary slightly.
About packaging: we pack in eco-friendly paper bags, minimizing unnecessary plastic and waste in keeping with our commitment to sustainability. We use 69% apple-pomace bio-based leather (apple leather, USDA Certified Biobased and verified by Beta Analytic to ASTM D6866-22), which is tough and durable; we also protect it carefully in transit and include a thank-you card, so your piece reaches you intact and clean the moment you open the box.

Once an order ships, we will email you the tracking number. With this number you can check real-time delivery progress on the courier (local) or Hongkong Post / local postal (overseas) website or app.
A friendly reminder: once an overseas parcel is handed to the local postal service, tracking information can take a day or two to update, and may briefly show as "held" at a sorting center along the way; this is usually a normal part of customs clearance or transit. If tracking goes a long time without updating, or you cannot find the tracking email, you are welcome to email info@brokenfingers-plus.com any time, and we will follow up for you.
Overseas orders may be charged import tax, duties, or other fees by local customs, and these are borne by the recipient (you). Duty-free thresholds and tax rates differ by country and region and change from time to time, so Broken Fingers+ cannot estimate them and will not collect or pay them on your behalf.

We declare parcel contents and value honestly and regret that we cannot help customers avoid tax by under-declaring value, marking parcels as a "gift," or similar; thank you for understanding — this is a baseline for us as a legitimate social enterprise.
The moment your parcel arrives, please take a few seconds to do the following, which protects both sides:
If you chose SF pickup, please collect your parcel as soon as possible within the holding period after receiving the pickup notice; parcels not collected in time may be returned, and reshipping may incur additional shipping fees.
If after receiving your order you find transit damage, items that do not match what you ordered, or a production defect (such as loose stitching, damaged hardware, or obvious color difference), please contact us with photos within 14 calendar days of receipt (see the Returns & Exchanges policy for details), and we will follow up as soon as possible.
Parcel delays: handcraft combined with cross-border logistics occasionally means delays — for example peak season, bad weather, slow customs clearance, or courier backlogs. If your order is clearly past the estimated arrival time, there is no need to wait it out; email info@brokenfingers-plus.com with your order number and we will check on it right away.
Suspected lost parcels: if after shipping — more than 14 working days locally or more than 30 working days overseas — tracking still shows not delivered, please contact info@brokenfingers-plus.com. We will open an inquiry with the courier and, depending on the situation, help you trace the parcel or arrange a reshipment.
Address errors / returned parcels: please fill in your recipient details carefully when ordering (recipient name, full address, unit number, postal code, contact phone).
e-Express+ caps each international order at 2kg, and the checkout page lists only the countries and regions we ship to regularly. If you run into either of the situations below, it does not mean we cannot ship to you — it simply needs to be arranged by us manually:

Q: Can I mix local and overseas in one order?
Each order ships to a single delivery address. To send to different locations, please place separate orders.
Q: How is the free shipping over HKD 800 calculated?
It is based on the amount actually paid after discounts, for Hong Kong local orders only; the system applies free shipping automatically at checkout, with no code needed.
Q: Why has my tracking not updated for a long time?
Once an overseas parcel is handed to the local postal service, updates can lag by a day or two, and it may briefly show as "held" during customs clearance; this is usually normal. If it remains undelivered beyond the time limits set out in Section 10, please contact us.
